Two bits of news crammed into one here. The lovely people at Jotta have stuck up an interview with Alex Hunting and I about Be Brave. Thanks chaps! Read it here – BE BRAVE . Also, some newly acquired friends of ours at Emerge have kindly asked us to design the catalog for their up coming exhibition of Graduate talent curated by the rather well to do Dominic Lippa of Pentagram. We’ve made a start but with both of us interning at the moment its an up hill struggle. Expect one off typefaces, in vogue layouts and newsprint!

Ive been asked to design the revamped Airside calendar for 2011. Really excited about it. Im putting together a new typeface specially for the job! Looking forward to showing you all.

The kind folks over at Airside have invited me into their lovely abode for 3 months. I absolutely love being over there, they’re a great bunch of people and have made me feel very welcome. Really looking forward to producing some great work with them.

Its show time kids. After several long days of hard work, the catalogs are back from the press, the vinyls are up and the final lick of paint applied its just about time to welcome in a talented bunch of illustrators with a private view down at the Rag Factory on Brick Lane. We’d love to have you there. Grab a beer and look at some ace work. Festivities kick off tonight at 6.00 (July 15th).

Alex and I finally sent the catalog for the Them&US show to print today. The good guys over at Ditto press in Dalston took charge and we’re looking forward to getting some pics up of it next week. Really looking forward to seeing that vacant slot on my site filled with some fresh work. Also stay tuned for some rather lovely vinyl and tote bags.

Alex Hunting and I are exhibiting Be Brave at Futurising tomorrow over in Shoreditch. Pop over grab a copy and have a chat. To add insult to injury we are also giving a talk on the paper on wednesday morning. Im not sure if there are tickets still available but if your around come in anyway.

Our degree show – Super Graphics drops at LCC this thursday (24th). If your in London and like artwork and free beer you’d be hard pressed to find a venue that could satisfy those needs any better. Plus bring a couple of bob and pick up some tasty prints and even a copy of Be Brave at the exhibition shop. See you there!

Our illustration class is holding a poster sale over at Jaguar Shoes in Shoreditch to raise money for our external show – Them & Us in July. The sale is taking place on Sunday the 6th June, please head along and say hi, have a bear, and buy a lovely limited edition print straight outta’ college.

Finally launched the new website! Its a big redesign that should hopefully mean easier navigation with more project work that can be updated far more frequently. Big thanks to Jon Hocking for his hard work with the programming side of things. www.jonhocking.co.uk.
Theres still a few projects pending, so I will hopefully get those up as soon as possible. Be on the look out for those and for more news in the near future. Final hand in has now come and gone so I should have more time to spend on the site and everything that goes with it!
